Kaydon remanufacturing solutions include all ball bearings and roller bearings, regardless of the original manufacturer:

  • thrust ball bearings & thrust roller bearings
  • radial ball bearings & radial roller bearings
  • cross roller bearings
  • single row ball bearings & roller bearings
  • double row, angular contact bearings
  • three row roller bearings
  • four-point contact ball bearings
  • eight-point contact ball bearings

Bearing repair offers substantial savings, short lead-times, and the extension of your bearing's life.

How much savings can be realized versus buying a new replacement bearing?

Generally you can realize savings of 50% or more compared to buying a new replacement bearing from the manufacturer.

Does Kaydon provide remanufacturing services for competitors' bearings?

Yes, we can remanufacture bearings from any manufacturer.

What are your size limitations for remanufacturing a bearing?

Kaydon remanufactures bearings ranging in size from 10" to 240" (25 cm to 6.1 m).

Do you inspect new or previously remanufactured bearings that have been in storage?

Yes, we can inspect, recertify, and provide a warranty for bearings that have been in storage.

Do you offer on-site inspections?

Yes, for a nominal fee. However, it is recommended that all bearings ship to the Kaydon facility for proper evaluation.

Who is responsible for inbound freight charges?

Inbound freight charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Do we need to disassemble or clean our bearing prior to submitting?

We do not require that the bearing be cleaned prior to submitting; however we do recommend you remove any external grease if possible.

How long will it take to inspect the bearing once it has been received by Kaydon?

Kaydon's standard inspection time is one week. Additional inspection time may be required for extra large-diameter and precision bearings.

Is there an inspection charge for bearings submitted for evaluation?

In most cases there are no inspections fees; however, Kaydon does charge a minimal inspection fee for special or high-precision bearings, as well bearings exceeding 96".

Will you provide a quote prior to starting the bearing remanufacturing?

Yes, repair work will not commence without a customer purchase order.

Does the repair price include return freight?

No, all remanufactured bearings are returned freight collect.

Do you replace the components?

Yes, Kaydon's standard repair process includes new rolling elements, separators, and seals.

How long does it take to remanufacture a bearing?

Kaydon's standard lead-time for bearings under 90" is four weeks. Delivery for precision bearings and bearings exceeding 90" is 10 to 12 weeks.

Is there an expedited or emergency delivery option available?

Yes, expedited delivery services are available from Kaydon at a minimal cost premium.

Yes, Kaydon is able to offer special packaging for long-term storage.

Does Kaydon offer a warranty for remanufactured bearings?

Yes, Kaydon remanufactured bearings carry a one-year warranty from date of shipment; this applies only to workmanship and materials.

Yes, replacement bearings are available from Kaydon, regardless of the original manufacturer.
